Eating Crow – The US Bishops Make a Stand

Today I eat me some tasty crow.  According to a report from CatholicVote.org’s own Thomas Peters aka The American Papist, all 180 Bishops of the United States who lead dioceses have spoken out against the HHS Contraceptive Mandate.  This is a momentous day; one that I had doubts would come, but it is here!   However, it is a day the Church in America has sadly announced that there is a Culture of Death Pandemic that needs to be stopped.  This is a sobering realization and needs to be taken very seriously.  The involvement of every single one of these Bishops, Liberal and Conservative alike, shows the gravity of the situation.  This will be a defining moment, and one that will have devastating consequences if the Mandate occurs. It will not stop there, folks.  If this mandate goes through, there will be no stopping the war-machine that will look to completely kill Catholicism in the USA and eventually the world.  Cardinal George of Chicago said concerning the mandate, and the future of the Church in Chicago if the Mandate goes through “I will die in my bed, my successor will die in prison, his successor will die in the public square.”  Take a minute to realize this and then pray for the USA, for it’s President, for it’s leaders, and for the Church, that she may arise victorious in this battle.

Sáncte Míchael Archángele, defénde nos in proélio, cóntra nequítiam et insídias diáboli ésto præsídium. Ímperet ílli Déus, súpplices deprecámur: tuque, prínceps milítiæ cæléstis, Sátanam aliósque spíritus malígnos, qui ad perditiónem animárum pervagántur in múndo, divína virtúte, in inférnum detrúde.
